F.A.Q

Question: Why do I need QD3.1?
Answer: If you want to delete e-mails from the server, without downloading them in advance, you may use QuickDelete. By using QD3.1 you can prevent unwanted e-mails from being downloaded to your computer.

Question: What settings do I need to do?
Answer: You will need your e-mail user name and password as well as your POP3 server name. If you are already using other software for receiving e-mails (for example Outlook Express or Netscape Messenger), you can use those settings.

Question: I don't know the server name and/or user data, where do I get them from?
Answer: Only your ISP (Internet Service Provider) can give you these details.

Question: I have an e-mail account with Hotmail, can I use QuickDelete to check my e-mails?
Answer: Unfortunately you can't check your e-mails with Hotmail, since they don't offer a POP3 server. If you had an account with GMX, you would be able to check your e-mails with QuickDelete. GMX does offer an POP3 server.

Question: Can I check more than one e-mail account at the same time?
Answer: No you can't. We thought of implementing this feature, but it doesn't make any sense. QD3.1 is not meant for checking your e-mails, but for deleting e-mails from the server. To do so, you will have to be actively connected to the POP3 server.

Question: Will QuickDelete work on my Mac or Linux machine?
Answer: No! Currently there is only a Windows version available.

Question: My firewall shows that QuickDelete also makes an internet call using port 80. Why is that?
Answer: QuickDelete checks for available updates. This is done by downloading the file: www.yeti-soft.de/version.html (shown as kundenserver.de)
This option can be deactivate
d in the Extras -> Options menu.
